Our Team

Krisanna Onorato

Krisanna Onorato is the Head Trainer at Shining Valley Farm. Born and raised in nearby Sherborn, MA, Krisanna began riding at the age of 3 on her family's 25-acre farm, where her passion for horses and horsemanship took root.

Advancing rapidly through the sport, she trained with top U.S. equestrian professionals and built a competitive show record in her young adult years. In 2003, Krisanna began her professional career at Shining Valley Farm as trainer and barn manager, where she has since instructed and coached riders across a range of levels and disciplines.

In her current role as Head Trainer, Krisanna oversees training programs for both horses and riders- from foundational riding lessons to advanced competition preparation. She also assists clients in sourcing and selecting suitable equine partners, working with local and international networks to find horses that match each rider's goals.

Her extensive experience, commitment to rider development and dedication to equine care make her a respected leader in the New England equestrian community.

Ron Zohar

Ron Zohar is a trainer at Shining Valley Farm. A dual citizen of the United States and Israel, Ron brings decades of international equestrian experience to his work with riders and horses of all levels.

After completing his military service in Israel in 1992, Ron served as the Director of the National Federation of Sport Riding in Israel and advanced his training under leading European riders including mentorship with a two-time Olympic Silver Medalist. His broad exposure to top-tier training methods has deeply influenced his approach to developing both horses and riders.

In 1996, Ron moved to the United States as a representative for a European equine product company, which ultimately led him to establish his own training career. He began training in Sherborn, MA, and soon thereafter leased and developed what would become Shining Valley Farm. In 2000, Ron purchased the property transforming it into the thriving 22-acre, 37 stall facility it is today.

Additionally, Ron specializes in importing and placing high-caliber sport horses from Europe, leveraging his global network to match equine talent with the needs and goals of his clients.
